With more than 40 operas and Zarzuelas to his name, he has embodied roles such as Silvio (I Pagliacci), Marcello & Schaunard (La Bohème), Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Valentin (Faust), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana), Enrico (Lucia di Lamermoor), Orfeo (Orfeo), Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia-Paisiello), Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Ping (Turandot) among many others. His performances seamlessly balance drama and comedy, bringing each character to life with nuance and authenticity.
Mr. Morales’ artistry goes beyond the stage. As an Opera Director and Producer, he crafts productions that honor the composer’s and librettist’s intentions while empowering singers to bring their unique artistry to their roles. His productions breathe life into timeless works, ensuring that both the musical and dramatic elements resonate deeply with modern audiences.
His passion for the art form extends to education, where he has guided and shaped the next generation of singers. As an educator with proven results in both his private studio and at the Bard Conservatory Preparatory School, Morales has mentored countless students, helping them develop the technical and interpretative skills needed for a successful career.
Mr. Morales has performed with including Teresa Carreño Opera, Opera de Caracas, New Jersey Verismo Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Amore Opera, Regina Opera, Delaware Valley Opera, Hudson Opera Theatre, as well as with renowned orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica Venezuela, Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas, Staten Island Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony and American Festival Symphony. His recital tours have taken him across Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, and the U.S., where his performances have been celebrated for their emotional depth and brilliance.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Morales holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Florida, where he was awarded the Concerto Competition Prize. His accolades include the National Association of Teachers of Singing Southeast Region Award and a prestigious grant from the Venezuelan National Council for the Arts and Culture Studies Abroad.
